photo journalism pictures

Firefighter saved an owl from fire in spain. the firefighter probably just got finished putting out the fire behind him and then found/saved the owl he is holding.Kai Forsterling took the photo and framed it using the rule of thirds so you could see the background. i think they emphasized the uniform and the owl. the mood is kind of sad but happy at the same time because the cute little owl is safe.http://blogs.wsj.com/photojournal/2010/09/08/photos-of-the-day-sept-8/
This is a picture of an air and water show in chicago, illinois. it shows a bunch of people in the water, watching and taking pictures of the air show.Jyoti Srivastava took this picture. its is important because it shows the chicago area when it is not snowing(because that is mainly was i think of when i think of chicago).they emphasized the two loops in the air that the planes made. they framed it so that you could see all the spectators who were there. the mood is happy because it  is a nice day, people are just relaxing with their family at the lake. http://www.lensimpressions.net/
this is a picture of a little girl on a swing. she looks like she is waiting for someone to push her because she doesnt know how to swing herself. this is important because it shows a playful child who seems to be having fun. Svetozar Stefanov  took these photos. he framed it so that you can she not only the little girl but also the playset to the left of her(our right). they emphasized the little girl in the middle on the swing. the mood of the image is playful and happy because the little girl is happy and swinging on the swing. it looks fun and makes me want to swing. http://www.photo-journal.net/index.php?showimage=410
the scene is of a dandelion and a bee. the event is the bee sucking the nectar from the flower. this is important because it shows nature being nature. Svetozar Stefanov took this picture also.  he framed this picture so that the flower with the bee on it, is the one in focus. the background is blurry and out of focus which makes this one flower stand out more. he emphasized the flower with the bee.  the mood of this image is calm because nothing is moving, and it just seems as though it would have been quiet and calm. http://www.photo-journal.net/index.php?showimage=536
this picture is of snow covered trees in a city. the event is just the trees being white with snow while the rest of the city is not covered in snow. this is important because it shows the different seasons a place could have. Svetozar Stefanov also took this picture. he framed it so you could see all the trees with white snow and the the buildings which had none. he emphasized the white trees and does a very good job of it. they stand out alot and this is a really cool image. this image makes me want to put on a jacket but also i think of the warmth because you can see the sun peeking out.  http://www.photo-journal.net/index.php?showimage=522

reading #2

there are different techniques that are used to make a picture look good. one of those is viewpoint. i took a picture of my brother from a birdseye view. for what reason? i just felt like it.. viewpoint i think is what makes an image interesting..

reading..

value is the element that "gives you visual clues about shape and form. one photographer who used value alot was ansel adams.  link is jeffbean.wordpress.com

before and after sunprints

sooo my sunprint didnt come out so well so you can't really see the images. i used my earrings(one is a leaf shape and the other is a hoop that kinda looks like a donut.) they are somewhat visible in the bottom right hand corner and just above that.
<<theres the leaf
the donut looking earring is right in the middle on the right edge. it is between the purple and yellow :)
